YEF Singapore Starts 40 Days of Lent

YEF Singapore members started their 40 days walk of faith during the Lent period. For 2020, the first day of Lent coincidentally also falls on Ash Wednesday.

The members has decided to meditate the gospel of John during the period of Lent. On the first day of Lent, they gathered online in the morning to meditate on John 13:1-11.

One of the members shared that “Today we covered John 13:1-11. Although I have heard this message before, it still brought me a lotof grace and I realised that I have grown a lot since the last time I heard this message. When I first heard this message, I felt very loved and blessed because all through my life, Jesus really served me like His disciples, and I did not know it. Now, I am more aware of His love than before but I realise I tend to forget sometimes how great Hislove is and how great His sacrifice is for us. God’s love has never changed for me or any one of us. Even before we were born, He already loved us. But we humans can be insensitive to His love andwe also love however we want – when we feel like it or depending on circumstances. However, for Jesus, even in His greatest pain, He chose to comfort His disciples.Humans are really too weak to do that. “.

The members received abundant grace during the Bible study and they are thankful for the grace God has poured upon them.
