On 17 March 2020, YEF members meditate on John 17 and one member gave reflection:
Today’s message tells us that Jesus will leave the world soon but till the end, He still wanted to protect His disciples. Jesus is a good shepherd who will lay down His life for His sheep. The true shepherd protects His sheep, like us. Thinking about this, it is so true that what God has given us cannot be compared to anything the world has. Who would lay down His life and go through all that suffering for us? Only Jesus.
In love, all will receive peace and grace and happiness through God. God’s love is perfect and can satisfy us to no ends. But can condemnation and hatred and arrogance do that? It cannot and so I really am grateful and thankful for God that He opened my eyes to my sin. Indeed Philippians 2:3-4 is true that we must be humble and value others above us. To not satisfy our own interests but the interests of others with God’s love. Then we can all truly be united in God and He can be in us as we are in Him. He dwells in clean hearts. Amen.
